Youth Sunday

Argh, Youth Sunday was alright today. Thank God that He guided me when I was playing the drums. Like I've posted in previous posts, I've not been practicing drums lately and how I "forgot" how to use my double bass pedal properly and stuff like that, didn't happen yesterday. There were some mistakes but crap, I think I did awesome, thank God, all glory to Him.

I burned my time again, watching TV, lazing around, day dreaming. Couldn't even get pass 4 chapters of Acts for Bible Knowledge. Crap, you're going down the drain, Jon. One more month and you're still fooling around.

I think that most people die these days are because of them mosquitoes. I hate you, mosquitoes!

Oh yeah, my new drum sticks, they're good. Haha. I used it for yesterday's service and yeah, it sounded awesome. I think the sticks only sounds good on certain drum sets. Haha!

Screw You Duratech!

I like the lightness of my new fibre drum sticks. But crap, it sounds weird when I don't rim shot (its when you hit the rims of the snare drum together with the skin). Argh. Well, it's kinda cool, I get to do fast rolls which are clean and neat. Haha. Not sure whether I'm using them sticks for tomorrow or not.

Goodbye UnderOATH and welcome SKILLET. Yeap, I found this Christian band on DrummerforChrist.com . They sound good, the only thing I don't like about this band is the vocalist. Just don't like the way he sings. Other than that; the lyrics, the music are awesome.

Go visit YouTube and search for them. Don't wanna post the video on my blog because I need to find the suitable width and height for the console and I'm lazy now. Sorry.

New Drum Sticks

My dad got me two pairs of drum sticks. One is the usual Tama 216B drum sticks and my dad bought this fibre drum sticks for me. The brand is called Duratech. Can't wait to test it out tomorrow. Kinda suck though that Bentley doesn't sell Ahead drum sticks. Thought they sell everything =P. Haha. Silly me.

School sucked today, wait, school sucks all the time. Only 10 turned up today in school (not surprised). But something shocking happened, Boon Hau was absent today! What the crap?! Haha! He's always the first in class but today when I entered, he wasn't there. Shocking. Haha. Did nothing but talk crap and joke today. Thought of studying in class but what the crap, friends are high, so am I. Haha.

I'm back to studying but at a lower pace. I revised Biology experiments just now and now I'm studying Chapter 4 of Biology Form 5 - Reproduction, the most boring chapter in this year's syllabus. Seriously, they explain about plants more detailed than about humans. Haha!

Haven't been seeing my brother online these days. Argh, I really need a new cymbal. It's dented. Seriously, dented. Stupid me.

That Was Awesome

Thank God once again for the awesome time of practice for this week's Praise and Worship session for the Main Service. I've been slacking badly from my drums and crap, I bet it's my drum throne! Need to repair it ASAP!!!!! Okay, I'll stop blaming the throne, it's just my inconsistent practices. Yeah, I gotta admit, that if I don't practice, I don't play well at all. I forget techniques and the feel when I play the drums. Argh, that's a bummer. But yeah, gonna set aside around 30 minutes to play the drums on the days I'm free, don't care whether it's near the SPM examinations or not.

I'm hyped up to study but crap, I can't focus. I've lost my concentration again. Someone kick me in the butt please. I was in this state for like, two times already this year. And this is my third. Gah!

Got to go. Might study a bit, or will just go to bed. Going to school later anyways.

No More Guitar...

No more guitar for me. I'm all out for drums now. I need to focus on my drumming. I've been playing the guitar more than the drums and crap, I suck in it now. I don't know how am I gonna sound like later in practice for this week's Youth Sunday.

I'm wasting a lot of time. Trials are done and I'm in the mode where I'm just wasting time like I've nothing else to do. Hmmm. Looks like I need to discipline myself harder. Argh.

I don't want a Gibson SG anymore. I want a Z Custom and an Ultracast snare drum. Muahahah!
